People often have trouble locating a family member who has perhaps moved away. When families need to try and locate someone, and this happens especially now with the internet offering various ways and services appearing, there are ways to lookup people for a price. Because people do sometimes lose touch, for various reasons, eg kids trying to locate missing parents or distant relatives, even people wanting to track others who are not related, demand for lookup services has increased.
